Questions I ask prospective clients:
Are you an amateur or a pro?
Are you serious about your search or dabbling?
Are you committed or just interested?
Your answers make all the difference. Every day I get calls from individuals who tell a great story and they seem committed, but their actions are not consistent. They postpone and procrastinate. Don’t be a lightweight! Today’s job market is not for amateurs. To overcome procrastination, be a player! Don’t watch the game from the sidelines, jump in and play. It’s a rough game, but you can’t win if you don’t play. Procrastination cannot survive in the face of a committed, determined human will! Procrastination is a self-imposed obstacle.
Monday through Thursday you will find a daily tip, tool or technique that will help you keep the power in your job search and keep the edge on the competition. I also have a “Top 5 Tips” that comes out on a weekly basis. Sign up today. Click on the link on the left.
